Chatel is only 500 miles (approx 820 km’s) from Calais, with a journey time of approximately nine hours.
There are two ways to get to the chalet:
1. The first is to enter Chatel from the Swiss side. i.e. travel round the north of Lake Geneva, continue past Lausanne until you reach to town of Monthey. From here, follow the signs to Portes du Soleil and you will start to climb up the mountain. Once you have gone through the village of Morgins (which is where the Swiss boarder is) you will reach Chatel.
or:
2. The second way to get to Chatel is to travel along the south of Lake Geneva towards Evian and Thonon. From Thonon, follow the signs for Morzine/Chatel. You will then reach a roundabout – take the second exit and continue to follow the signs to Chatel.
