With 14 resorts covering 2 countries, the Portes du Soleil certainly offers a variety of superb skiing and snowboarding at all levels to suit your ski holiday. There is plenty of space and wide slopes for beginners, cruising runs for intermediates that enjoy travelling long distances and through different resorts and exciting and challenging off-piste skiing for the more advanced skiers.
The villages of La Chapelle d’Abondance and Chatel are perfectly situated very close to our ski chalet in the fantastic alpine mountains on the main Portes du Soleil circuit. They are both wonderful holiday resorts that have retained their traditional Savoie charm.
The slopes around La Chapelle d’Abondance and Chatel offer a mix of open and wooded slopes, for all ages and abilities. With easy access to Avoriaz, Morzine and the Swiss side of the Portes du Soleil ski area, it is an extremely convenient location. Plus we also provide a chauffer service to and from the slopes!
Winter activities not only include skiing and snowboarding, but also cross country skiing, snow shoeing, ice skating and much more!
The village centre of Chatel also offers the chance to browse the shops, go to the cinema or bowling and enjoy the range of lively bars for a spot of après-ski.
